The workplace is a challenging place and your position is in the middle of the action.
A number of significant studies have revealed alarming data about engagement.
Perhaps the most comprehensive and exciting of these is the Towers Perrin Global Workforce Study (2005). Conducted in 16 countries, the study found that the vast majority is less than fully engaged.
In Canada as many are disengaged as are highly engaged, both at 17%.
The Gallup Organization estimates that “actively disengaged employees” cost the American economy up to $350 billion per year in lost productivity.
